Blade Runner 2049

Considered a ground-breaking film by many at the time, 1982’s Blade Runner finally has a sequel with Blade Runner 2049 which is set for an October release. Check out the second trailer above.

Ridley Scott hasn’t returned to the director’s chair, that was given to Denis Villeneuve who previously made Arrivals and Sicario, among others.

Scott does get an executive producer credit though.

Harrison Ford returns as Rick Deckard, an ex-police LAPD officer while the young lead — a new blade runner — is played by Ryan Gosling. Robin Wright, Dave Bautista, and Jared Leto have supporting roles.
