Watch: Lost Sheep

This paper stop-motion short film, Lost Sheep, is a little gem of kindness. As with most of the short films posted on Zip, we won’t go too much into the story so as not to ruin it for you, apart from saying it’s about a lost three-legged lamb.

As someone said in the YouTube comments section: “Definitely a labor of love and beauty.”

To watch it, just click the play button at the left of the feature image above.

Lost Sheep is written, directed, and animated by Lukas Rooney from Lamp Light Studio.

The 7-minute film has music by Andrew Gerlicher and had additional programming done by Jesse Haugen.

Stop Motion Animation

A paper stop-motion short film is a type of animation where individual frames are created by manipulating cut-out paper objects or characters. In stop-motion animation, each frame is captured separately, with slight adjustments made to the position of the paper elements between frames to create the illusion of movement when played in sequence.
