Watch: 2020—A 1917 Parody

The above 18-minute short film — 2020: A 1917 Parody — is a tongue-in-cheek look at how two roommates attempt to survive 2020.

“This short film is a parody and love letter to the film 1917,” says the YouTube blurb for the film.

2020: A 1917 Parody took around three months to shoot, reshoot and edit. It was written, produced, directed and edited by Stephen Ford and posted on YouTube in early October.

“I’m crying both from exhaustion and happiness,” Ford tweeted about his film. “The months of work, the stress of creating something this big with nearly no budget during a pandemic while unemployed. It’s been a challenge,” he said. “Just hope you all enjoy it.”
