It was only a time before someone in Hollywood made a movie about National Security Agency whistle-blower Edward Snowden.
Given Oliver Stone’s past form in making the likes of Wall Street, JFK and Platoon, it’s no surprise that the Oscar winning director has made Snowden, which has a September release in the US.

Last year, a film about Snowden — Citizenfour — won an Oscar for best documentary.
In the movie version, Joseph Gordon-Levitt plays Snowden who is currently (spoiler alert!) in hiding in Russia for leaking confidential information to the press in 2013.
The political thriller also stars Shailene Woodley, Zachary Quinto, Nicolas Cage, Rhys Ifans and Tom Wilkinson.
