When The Greatest Showman dazzled audiences in 2017, one of its most powerful moments came when actress Rebecca Ferguson, playing opera singer Jenny Lind, stood before a hushed theater and delivered the soaring ballad Never Enough.
What many didn’t realize at the time was that Ferguson was only lip-syncing on screen. The song’s breathtaking vocals belonged to Loren Allred, a then-largely unknown American singer who provided the voice.
Years later, Allred finally stepped out from behind the shadows and performed Never Enough on stage during her audition for Britain’s Got Talent. The performance stunned both judges and viewers, with the American singer revealing herself as the voice audiences around the world had already fallen in love with through the film.
The Britain’s Got Talent video quickly went viral, racking up millions of views (as of posting this article over 83 million since it went on YouTube in 2022) and reigniting global appreciation for the song.
