The above documentary feature film Wosaka tells the story of Basil O’Connell-Jones, a young man who grew up in Rhodesia (now Zimbabwe) during the 1960s. In time, he was drawn to the hippie movement and drug dealing in his youth. After getting deeper into drug trafficking in London and encountering legal trouble, O’Connell-Jones returned home to Rhodesia during the civil war known as the Rhodesian Bush War.
O’Connell-Jones ended up enlisting in the Rhodesian Light Infantry, and during a deployment, he was shot in the head and had a near-death experience, leading him to search for answers and truth about life and death.
