Watch: 10-minute Slice of Man of Steel

Zack Snyder’s Man of Steel met mixed or average reviews but did extremely well at the box office upon its release in 2013. It grossed over $668 million worldwide.

Big ticks from critics for the film’s visuals, action sequences, and a soundtrack by Hans Zimmer but some criticisms for its pacing, bleak tone, and a shortage of character development. The movie’s darker, grittier tone was a departure from previous Superman adaptations. The film’s destruction-heavy climax led to criticism but set the tone for future DC superhero films.

But no matter if you’re a lover or a hater, you can watch a near 10-minute-long slice of the film above by clicking on the play button at the left of the feature image.

The above portion of Man of Steel begins with Superman (British actor Henry Cavill) allowing himself to be handed over by the US military to a nasty bunch of genocidal Kryptonians led by General Zod (Michael Shannon).
