With a population of under 500 people, the wheatbelt town was one of the locations for the drama-thriller that stars Eric Bana.
Given the tough and gritty subject matter featured in The Dry, it appears in the video that Beulah is a much happier place than the film’s fictional town of Kiewarra.
As you can tell in the above 15-munite-video the Beulah locals embraced the making of the film and its crew.
The crew also appreciated the warm welcome they received while working in the town in 2019 when it was reeling from a lack of rain like many other parts of Australia.
Directed by respected filmmaker Robert Connolly, the movie is based on Jane Harper’s bestselling novel.
The Dry was released in Australian cinemas on Jan. 1, 2021 and did well at the box office. It can be seen on-demand and watched in US cinemas from May 21.
