Christopher Walken plays Percy Schmeiser, a small-scale Canadian farmer, who takes on Monsanto, the giant agrochemical and agricultural biotechnology company in Percy vs Goliath.
Monsanto sought to sue Schmeiser for allegedly using their patented seeds, but the third-generation farmer took them on in what would become a long-drawn-out legal battle.
With not much in the way of resources, Schmeiser is joined by up-and-coming attorney Jackson Weaver played by Zach Braff and environmental activist Rebecca Salcau acted by Christina Ricci. Schmeiser’s case took them all the way to the Supreme Court.

Based on the true-life story Percy vs Goliath is an American-Canadian-Indian production. It can be seen in select theaters in the US and VOD from April 30.
The real Percy Schmeiser passed away late last year. He was 89 years of age.
