Benedict Cumberbatch plays Greville Wynne a travelling British businessman involved in couriering top-secret information out of Soviet Russia in The Courier.
You can watch the film’s trailer above, just click on the play icon on the left in the feature image.
Based on a true story, Wynne teams up with Russian source Oleg Penkovsky played by Georgian actor Merab Ninidze (pictured left below with Cumberbatch).
Penkovsky was codenamed Ironbark, which was also the film’s initial name before it was changed to The Courier.
The trailer doesn’t give away too much about the story’s plot but what actually happened to the real people the film is based on was tragic.
Directed by Dominic Cooke, The Courier also stars Rachel Brosnahan, Kirill Pirogov, Jessie Buckley and Angus Wright. It will be released in US and UK theaters in March.
