It’s more than 20 years since The Matrix hit screens and wowed movie goers.
Part of the film’s genius is how it made audiences care about philosophical questions, says the above video created by The Take.
What’s real? What’s the truth? Can human beings be really free? The Matrix tries to show how answers to such big questions can be found.
The Matrix is “a practical guide to freeing your mind and fulfilling your potential, to becoming ‘The One’ yourself,” The Take says.
Not only is it a hero’s or a philosopher’s’ journey, in some ways, as pointed out by the video, it’s a Christ-like journey.

And if you haven’t heard, The Matrix 4 is currently in production with Keanu Reeves back as Neo and Carrie-Anne Moss as Trinity. Its cinematic release date is sometime in May 2021.
