It’s taken some 30 plus years to get Tom Cruise back into the cockpit as naval aviator Pete ‘Maverick’ Mitchell.
And now Top Gun: Maverick is coming. Initially the movie had a June release, but due to COVID-19 it has been rescheduled for Christmas.
Cruise may no longer be the same fresh-faced kid as he was back when Top Gun was released in 1986, but the now 57-year-old has certainly aged better than most.
In the above look behind the scenes video of the upcoming movie you’ll get a glimpse of what’s in store, the highlight, of course like the first film, being some amazing aerial footage.

As for who is who — actress Jennifer Connelly plays Maverick’s love interest, while Val Kilmer, now 60, returns as ‘Iceman’ but as an admiral.
Miles Teller — born a year after the first film was released — plays pilot trainee Lieutenant Bradley ‘Rooster’ Bradshaw, the son of Maverick’s late RIO, ‘Goose’.
Actors Jon Hamm and Ed Harris also have roles in the film that Cruise co-produced with Jerry Bruckheimer and David Ellison.
The film’s composers are Harold Faltermeyer and Hans Zimmer.
