Ethan Hawke: A Life Keeping Busy

Texan-born Ethan Hawke has had a long career in the entertainment industry, something most artists only dream of.

His breakout film role was playing a shy kid at a boarding school in Peter Weir’s Dead Poet’s Society.

The first of his four academy award nominations was playing a rookie cop in Training Day where he acted opposite Denzel Washington. Another nomination was for the Before Midnight adapted screenplay which he cowrote with Richard Linklater, and Julie Delpy.

Hawke is also the director of three films, three off-Broadway plays and writer of just as many novels with the first one being published in 1996.

He is also dad to four kids.

He’s certainly had a full life, so the now 48-year-old has some good things to say in the above interview. Check it out.
