Had enough superhero comic movies yet? Maybe, maybe not. But the past ten years or so might be known for when comic to movie adaptions have been churned out left right to center with some successes and some misses. Either way it is big business.
Joining 2016’s dirge of comic-to-movie adaptions is Marvel’s Doctor Strange, starring Benedict Cumberbatch in the lead role as the sorcerer in training.
See the trailer above.
The film comes out November 4 but Doctor Strange has been around in comic book form since 1963.

Tilda Swinton is playing The Ancient One, who in the comics was an aged old Tibetan mystic. The casting of a westerner for a key role that has been rewritten to be a “Celtic” character has become a bit of an issue.
Basically it was done to appease communist China.
