We ran the initial trailer for the upcoming new version of Ben-Hur which had a very different tone to the one above which begins by quoting Biblical text.
The first trailer gave the impression the film will offer plenty of action – and perhaps it does – but the second trailer focusses in on the drama which is perhaps more in line with the 1959 classic sword and sandal film that was three and a half hours long.

While it is doubtful this version of the tale directed by Timur Bekmambetow will reach such lengths, 2016’s film has more scenes featuring Jesus Christ (played by Rodrigo Santoro from 300) as you can see by the trailer.
Little-known Jack Huston plays Judah Ben-Hur who finds redemption through Jesus.
Ben-Hur has an August release and can be seen in 2D and 3D.
