Andrew Garfield Talks Scorsese’s and Mel Gibson’s Upcoming Films

British actor Andrew Garfield is a talented no-ego artist who seems to have the Midas touch when it comes to choosing/landing great roles in films made by great filmmakers.

In the above interview Garfield talks about two of his upcoming films, with the first one being Silence which was directed by the legendary Martin Scorsese.

Filmed in Taiwan, the film is about a Jesuit missionary priest in unfriendly 17th century Japan and also stars Adam Driver, Liam Neeson, and Issei Ogata.

In his above interview, Garfield also talks about his role as a saintly medic, Desmond T. Doss, in Mel Gibson’s faith-based war drama Hacksaw Ridge.

“I think [Mel Gibson’s] an amazing filmmaker, and a really good man actually. And the story is just incredible,” Garfield says in the video.

Hacksaw Ridge is Gibson’s first directorial effort since 2006’s full-on Apocalypto.
