New Zealander filmmaker Taika Waititi and British actor Stephen Merchant break down a scene from his satirical black comedy Jojo Rabbit in the above video.
In the scene five Gestapo agents visit the home of a young German boy (played by Roman Griffin Davis) whose mother (Scarlett Johansson) was hiding a young Jewish girl (Thomasin McKenzie).
Tall and lanky Merchant plays a creepy Gestapo agent in the very Monty Pythonesque scene, that begins with lots of ‘Heil Hitlers’.
Taika counted 31 ‘Heil Hitlers’ were said in the space of a minute.

Taika and Merchant finish the video refuting the idea put forward by some have that comedies should stay away from doing films about Nazis.
